Skin plays an important role in daily life as it protects us from the outer environment. But if you are feeling itchy and small or large scaly patches are appearing on your skin then it needs Psoriasis Treatment In Delhi. Typically a normal cell takes one month to complete its life span but in this disorder the immune system of a body attacks itself. It creates scaly, patchy skin, which results in itching and burns.

What exactly is this disease?

People often end up thinking, what could psoriasis mean? It is a genetic or auto-immune disorder in which skin cells rapidly grow one after one that lines up and causes scaling on the surface of the skin. Sometimes it itches, while at times it cracks and bleeds. This disorder creates thick red patches with silvery-whitish scales on the skin. However, they can appear purple and dark brownish with scales.

How can you identify it?

Typically a normal cell takes one month to complete its life span but in this disorder the immune system of a body attacks itself. So the T cells attack the skin cells which results in speedy growth of it. Now that the dead skin cells are unable to shed themselves, they deposit on the previous layer which causes scaling. They typically deposit on elbows and knees but can also appear on hands, feet, scalp, neck and face. This disease can be painful and prone to infections, cuts and burns but proper medications and psoriasis treatments can help you manage the symptoms and one can adapt them to make their condition better.

  • Plaque psoriasis –

It is the most common type of psoriasis, which varies in colour depending upon the skin complexion. It causes raised skin patches covered with scales which are dry and itchy. scalp psoriasis is a part of it which affects the scalp. They mostly appear on the elbow, knees or scalp etc.

  • Nail psoriasis –

It affects the nails on fingers and toes. In which nails appear to be discoloured, pits are formed, and they grow abnormally. They might get loosen up from the nail bed and get separated while causing them to crumble.

  • Guttate psoriasis –

It is generally caused by a bacterial infection such as strep throat and is mainly seen in young adults and children. In this, a drop-shaped, scaly mark appears on legs, arms or trunk covered with whitish-silver scales or plaques.

  • Inverse psoriasis –

This type is generally seen on skin folds in the groin, breasts and buttocks. Smooth patches appear on the skin, which inflames with friction and sweating. Fungal infections trigger it more.

  • Pustular psoriasis –

It’s a rare type of psoriasis as it causes blisters filled with pus. It appears to be white pus-filled blisters with widespread patches on palms and on soles. The colour varies from red to violet depending upon the skin complexion. Primarily seen in smaller areas of the body.

  • Erythrodermic psoriasis –

This is a sporadic type of psoriasis which is exponentially life-threatening. This type covers large areas of the body with a peeling rash that itches or burns intensely. Here skin appears to be sunburned, and the developed scales slough off in large sheets. You might get a fever, or it can affect you badly too. It is imperative to consult a good dermatologist for this condition.

It’s a chronic disease which can’t be cured but can be treated. The symptoms of psoriasis differ from individual to individual and can be as small as a spot or cover your whole body. It is not compulsory that every person will experience all these symptoms if they have a common type. If you are suffering from any of these, you can immediately contact Ayushman Skin and Cosmetology Centre for the best medical guidance.
